Diwali, or the festival of lights, is the most celebrated Hindu（印度的） festival and takes place around October every year.
排灯节，也称光的节日，是印度最著名的节日，在每年的十月份左右举办。
The festival commemorates（用以纪念） different stories from history depending on where it is being held.
节日举办地点不同，所纪念的历史故事也不尽相同。
North Indians, for example, commemorate Lord Ram's return after 14 years of exile（流放） and the killing of the demon（恶魔） King Ravan.
